Playing in the Rain...

Sunday morning we didn't do much, but after nap time we went to In-n-out for dinner. The girls wanted to take dinner to the beach, but we thought it would be  a lot easier to just eat there.

After dinner we headed to Pacific Beach. We haven't  been since 2007 when Kacey and I took the girls. On the way to the pier we had to stop and take a few pics in front of an octopus mural. We  were trying to take a family pic when this guy running stopped and asked if he could take it for us. I was so surprised, I love it when people are so nice.

The pier is made out of really wobbly wood and they have these little cottages on it that they rent out. You can drive your car and park right in front of the cottages. It doesn't sound bad, but when you are walking on it you can see the boards move and it feels like you are going to fall right through. Tulip was freaking out and she didn't want to walk on it so we had to really convince her that she would be fine. I was like at least we will all die together. When we finally get to the end of the pier. We were watching a group of surfer, we were looking down on them so had a great view. The girls just wanted go and fly their kites if it was just Danny and I we would have stayed a little longer. We tried to take a family pic before we left, but Tulip was afraid again that she was going to fall off the pier because now she was over the ledge.

After our little photo shoot we were walking off the pier and Atley said that she wasn't afraid of the boards anymore so she started running and looking through the cracks of the boards. Just as we were walking off this car drove on and you could see the boards just bow. It was insane.

Danny was NOT looking forward to flying kites. He thought that they were to cheap and they would break and wouldn't fly. He was so against the kites that I had to put them together. It wasn't hard, but Danny usually does all that so I was a little nervous. Danny was so good about helping the girls with their kites. They didn't really fly them, but ran around while they were in the air. They had so much fun and Danny and I had fun playing with them. It started to rain a little, but us being from WA we didn't care about the rain. Everybody else at the beach left at the first drop of rain. The girls loved playing in the rain, we even ran in the water. We were so wet and sandy when we left. But had so much fun.

We came home gave the girls baths and Hot chocolate. It was such a wonderful evening to our lazy Sunday.
