Fathers Day...

I should take this time because it is Fathers Day and say how lucky I am that Danny is my babies Daddy. He such a good guy and works so hard for our family. I am very blessed that I get to stay home with the girls even though some days I wished I worked so I could get away. So Thank you Danny for being the best Dad to our girls and the best husband. We love you very much!!!

Tulip woke me up early so we could make dad breakfast. I was so tired and didn't want to get up so she decided that she should bring him something in bed. So she opened an oatmeal packet added some water and brought it in bed for him with a water bottle and coffee. It was the sweetest thing ever!!! Even though Danny didn't eat the oatmeal because it wasn't cooked it was so sweet. Then we gave him our card.

After we got up we went to the Bagel shop for breakfast and were trying to plan our day. It was his day so his choice. We decided to go for a drive and we headed east. We didn't really have a place in mind, but we saw a sign for the Finn Springs and thought it would be fun place to explore. When we drove up we asked the lady where the springs were and she right here. It was just dirt and trees. She said this Southern California so this is the best you get. We told her that we were from Washington and we are used to more. Our standards are  lowered when we are in California. We only spent about hour walking around.

Then we got in the car and headed to this lake. It was huge and so nice. Danny didn't want to get out so we just drove around and looked at the camping spots. They were pretty nice with trees and shade which is surprising for Southeren California. It was a place that we would like to camp out in the future.

After our drive Danny wanted to go to the Zoo. We have a membership so he loves that we get in free. The girls and I have been 3 times and we saw new animals which is always fun.

After the Zoo we took another drive North to Escondido to go to the Stone Brewery. We had to wait over an hour for a table. Which isn't very fun with 2 kids, but they did pretty well. It was a very nice building with great land scape, but it was really over priced and not what I accepted. But Danny had fun so that is all that matters.

We had a very busy Day and we think Danny had  a great Fathers Day.

Monday's are our Fun Days...

So last Monday June 14 Danny got early so we headed to the Zoo for a few hours. Danny had never been so he was really excited:) It was a quick trip, but those are my favorite because I am not a huge fan of the Zoo.
Atley loves getting her pic in front of this elephant.

She even made Daddy do it too.
then we had to get one with the gorilla.
 On the air tram.

Seeing the Polar bears. They were sleeping so weren't that fun to look at.

the Zebras were pretty cool.
On our way to see the hippos.
we saw a monkey.

Then we saw the hippo.
This is the best shot we got of the panda he had his back turned the whole time.
Atley loved the gorillas.
he was trying to climb out and get Atley because she was so whinny.
while I was taking the girls into the bathroom Danny was playing with this peacock on top of the bathrooms.

After the Zoo we headed to Oggi's for dinner. It was such a nice day that we sat outside. It was a great end to a fun Monday evening.

Tulip loves to turn Danny's hat backwards. She says that he looks like John.
Atley making funny faces.

Tulip took a family pic.

This Monday June 21, We started of the day by walking over to the donut shop for breakfast, then we took a little walk to park. The girls love to swing. So it is a nice little break.

The girls were pretending that their sweatshirts were babies and they were pushing them in the swings. It was really funny.
it was really hard work pushing her baby.

Danny had to work 12 hours this day, but they were playing a movie on the beach on Coronado Base. I was going to take the girls because they love going to movies in the park and that is something that we don't have back home. (we do have drive ins, but they always fall asleep.) But to my surprise Danny wanted to come. What a super Dad:) We drove on Coronado and went to the beach where I thought they would be playing the movie and it wasn't there. So after driving around we found it on the grassy area, by the Navy lodge. It was very uncomfortable because we didn't have chairs, but the girls had fun.

tulip played catch with a couple of boys. She is such a social butterfly. She asked Atley if she wanted to play and she said no because she doesn't like anybody.

Danny off on Saturday? What!?

Friday we had to move out of our apartment in Mission Valley into another apartment in Linda Vista. It was only about a 10 min drive from our old place, but seemed so out of the way from everything. I was not happy at all about moving. We were supposed to be leaving Friday to come home. So when we weren't coming home and we still had to pack I was PISSED!!! Danny had to the day off so we could move into our new  place, but he had to be at work at 6p.m. So we spent the whole day moving. I only unpacked the the kitchen stuff and the girls clothes, I didn't want to unpack everything because we are supposed to be leaving on the 25th of June. After about 30 hours of being bad I got over it and started finding the positive. It is true there is always positive you just have to look for it. I had to look really hard!!!

Saturday Danny didn't have to work because he had worked until 3:30 a.m. Friday night so he had a Saturday off. Those are really rare. We had a great day it is amazing how much better everything is when you change your attitude. We started the morining off by walking to the Starbucks for coffee then to the local donut shop for breakfast. The girls got donuts and Danny and I had breakfast croissant. We love this place. It is a little hole in the wall family owned business that is the best. After our breakfast we took a little walk to the park to have the girls play. The love this park. I would go with Melinda when she was here 2 years ago and Anna and I took the kids once.

Atley wanted to show me her donut.
Tulip wanted to show me hers, but is almost all gone.
Atley really loves to climb
I am so proud of how Tulip can do the swings by herself.
So right after I took this picture Tulip jumped off really fast, Atley ended up falling off and was crying really loud. These two boys come running over and was like where is the blood where is the blood. We told them that she wasn't bleeding and they didn't understand why she was crying if she wasn't bleeding. It was really funny.

After the park we went home to have some quiet time. We wanted to rest up for the Padres/Mariners game tonight. The girls were very excited to go the game we had so much fun the time before and they couldn't wait to play in the park. We were just going to buy tickets when we got there and while we were waiting in line they told us that the park tickets were sold out. We were so lucky because we got a military discount and ended up saving $21.

After we bought the tickets we had about an 1 1/2 hours before the game started. So we went to the Tin Fish for dinner. It was so crazy. I loved it. I love going to restaurants/bars with the kids that are so loud that you can't hear you kids wine about the  food and life:) Danny and I feel like we are  on date when we can't hear them. It is so much fun:)

I was a little nervous about the how the girls would do just having to sit and not being able to run around the whole game, but they did so well. I think they might have even done better then while we were at the park.
Danny was only one in our family wearing Mariners gear, As everyone knows I am not a baseball fan so I could care less. (BTW you will never see me wear anything, but Seahawks gear:)

Daddy and his girls.
Look at the cheese on my hands.

Petco Dog
View from our seats.

It was such a fun evening. The Mariners ended up losing which was sad for Danny, But the rest San Diego was happy.

Wild Animal Park part duex...

Danny was off on Sunday so we wanted to go to the Wild Animal park. Danny hadn't been this trip and since we have membership all we have to pay for is parking.

Atley loves holding the map and trying to find out where we are and where we are going. She must get this from her dad because I hate maps and would rather ask someone or have a GPS. If I could get a GPS for the parks I would.
This Bird was so funny. He would mimic everything that you said. It was really funny.
We stopped at the petting zoo, the girls loved petting animals. I felt like Kate Gossling because I was freaking out that they were going to touch there face or something after they were petting the animals.

Tulip found a log that she played in.

Atley and Tulip became worms.
We had to stop by the splash area because it was so Hot!!! 90 degrees!!!

Danny had never been on the tram so we had to take a tour. It is fun because the girls get to sit, but we did have to wait 30 mins before we could ride. Danny took a lot of pics here are a few.

Tulip got to hold an ostrage egg after the tour.

Atley really likes getting her picture taken by herself, here is one of the shots.

Here are the girls being little birds.

Atley was having fun being the teacher. I was trying to get a video of her teaching us, but the memory card was full. (forgot to delete the pics after I put them on a dvd)

Seeing the Gorillas.

We stopped to see this show with animals and This bird was really funny.

Our last stop before leaving the park.

The animal park is about 5 mins next to a winery so we had to stop. After spending 5 1/2 hours at the animal park in 90 degree weather we could really use a drink. It was  a lot of fun  and the girls had fun dancing to the music.

Danny isn't a big wine drinker, but he even had fun.
the girls dancing to the music.

Here is the video of the girls dancing.

The view of the winery.
I thought these rocks looked cool.

After the wine tasting we headed back to Mission Valley. We wanted to go to Hooters (Kate's Favorite restaurant) because kids eat free on Sundays. When we got there, there were so many people of because of the Lakers game. It was crazy, but we had a nice dinner. Then we headed home for bed.

We had another great Sunday and feel really blessed that we get to do so much.
