Wild Animal Park...

We had a really busy day on Monday it was Stina's last full day here and we wanted to finish seeing and doing everything before she had to leave. So today we started off going to the Wild Animal Park. It is about a 30-40 min drive from our apartment. The Wild animal park is even about 5 x bigger the zoo so we just picked a few things to see. We started to off by taking a drive on the tram, this was the first time that we had done this. It was pretty fun. It was about a 30 min ride and it takes you closer to the animals. It was also nice because they give you some info on the animals so it is educational at the same time. I don't think the girls really listened, but maybe some of it sank in. 

I loved the elephants. It was pretty exciting because they had 2 baby elephants so that was fun to see.

I was really bummed because they have this look out that you can see the Giraffes, but when we  got there they weren't any. I was bummed because they are so close that you can almost touch them. I really wanted to show Stina. 

We did see a lot and it was a fun day. 

After the park Danny came home and we headed out La Jolla to take Stina to the beach and see the Seals. Stina was like the kids and was playing in the water. I told her not to get wet because we are going to dinner, but what happens??? She gets soaked!!!! She didn't do it on purpose, but the water was so rough that she standing next to a cliff and the wave went past her than right over her. Danny and I both were a little worried that she was going to be taken out. Danny was like my mom won't be happy if we loose Stina in the ocean. I thought it was funny because who would be happy if we lost Stina in the Ocean??

We headed to the Rock Bottom Brewery and we had horrible service. We weren't very happy and we have no desire to go back. 

We got home Stina took a quick shower and we headed to the Casino with my friend Anna. It was Stina's first time ever going. I was happy to take her. She didn't like losing, and she didn't understand why any one would want to lose their money. I hope she had fun, but I don't think that she will be going back anytime soon. BTW she only lost $1.

It was such a busy day that I was glad to go home and go to sleep.

Universal Studios...

Sunday we took a drive to Hollywood to go to Universal Studios for the day. It is about a 2 1/2 hour drive from San Diego which isn't bad. We were about 30 mins away when Tulip started to throw up!!! I don't know what happened, but I think she just got car sick. She was so scared and shaking. We couldn't find a gas station so we had to drive around for about 10 mins before we could pull over. Luckily she through up on her sweatshirt so we were able to just take it off and clean her up. She kept crying for medicine, but there really isn't anything to give while you are throwing up, so I just bought her a diet sprite. My mom used to give it to us when we were sick so I thought it would make her feel better. It must have worked because by the time we got to Universal she was fine. BTW this was the 1st time in Tulip's life that she had soda, so it was kind of a big deal. Atley even got a drink too. Don't worry they won't have it again until they are sick.

When we first arrived we got stopped by a police officer and Tulip spent sometime chasing him.

Then we went to see a 4-D Shrek show

After the 4-D Stina and Danny took a tour of the Studio and the girls and I went looking for characters.

We stopped for a LA ball game.

Then we headed down stairs so Danny and Stina could do some more rides.

While Stina and Danny were on the Jurassic Park ride and the Mummy ride the girls did a little dance party with some characters.

I couldn't believe that Tulip was so not afraid of some of the characters.

Atley on the other hand was not a fan. This man was trying to get Atley to take a pic.

Stina watched the girls so I could go on the Jurassic Park ride. While we were gone she took the girls to see Scooby Doo.

We stopped and took some few more pics on our way out .

Because we are yearly members we could pay the proofs of the pics that they took. So here they are..

After the park we did some shopping on the city walk. It is a lot like downtown Disney, but has lights like Vegas. Stina and Tulip took off and did some shopping and Danny, Atley and I did. After a couple of hours we met up and went to Bubba Gump shirp co for dinner. We had never been there before. I loved !!!!. I thought the service was amazing and so was the food. I think it helped that I had a couple glasses of wine.

We had such a busy fun day. One of my favorite things about the day was that we got home in less than 2 hours.On the way home Atley had put stickers on her face and then fell asleep it was so cute:)
