Story time....

Thursday are fun days because the have toddler time story time. The leader reads 3 stories then they get to do a craft. One of the stories was about a dinosaur so the craft was to make a dinosaur. The girls loved it!!!! They got to paint, Atley had paint all over!!! The table, the chair, her and me. She had so much.

During the craft they were having a drawing for Kid Fest tickets. Kid Fest is a huge a event were kids get to do amazing crafts, dress up, tea parties, building ect. We have never been, but it sounds so much fun. Tickets are $15 2 and up. I didn't really want to spend $45 for the girls and I to go, So I was so happy to be the winner!!!! We cold either go on Saturday or Sunday, but since Danny has to work on Saturday and we only 3 tickets I am just going to take the girls. I am really excited and I hope it is a lot of fun. Saturday is going to be crazy busy because that night we are going to the Padres game. I can't wait!!!!

Baskin and Robins 31 cent night...

Wednesday was Baskin and Robins 31 cent night. We decided to go to the Olive Garden for dinner then were going to go to Baskin and Robins for 31 cent ice cream scoops.

Dinner was a lot of fun. The girls were so funny and made their bread-sticks into Subway sandwiches, they put their salad inside. I thought it was so clever of Tulip to make her sandwich. Atley had to follow and they ended up eating a lot of salad.

After dinner we headed over to Hallmark to get  a few cards and we found this card that looked just like Danny's nephew Tyree. I had to take a pic.

Back home when we Baskin and Robins have their 31 cent night their are a few people, but nothing like this. There was line wrapped around the corner. We waited for a few minutes then decided to just go pick up ice cream at the grocery store.

It was a fun little Wednesday.

Balboa Park Tuesday...

I love Tuesday's!!! I start by going to Einstein's bagels for my $2 bagel and coffee, then we go to Balboa Park for the museums. This week was the daddy museums. The automotive museum, the museum of flight, and the Hall of Champions.
We started off at the automotive museum. This would have been Daddy's favorite. There were so many cars, I loved that Danny wasn't with us because we played in the kids area for awhile then did a quick lap around the cars. I think we were there a total of 15 mins. If Danny was there we would have been there a lot longer.

Our next stop was the museum of flight. We did a quick walk around this one too. Tulip kept talking about the red plane that you can sit in. She remembered it from when we were there 2 years ago, I couldn't believe how well her memory is. It was one of the last things that we saw, but when we got there she was to big to go in. She was very sad. Atley was walking and she really wanted her stroller, but I think it is good for her to walk.

 

Then we went to the the Hall of champions. We went through this one really fast.  I thought the only cool thing about this one was a Reggie Bush jersey. I only like him because of Kim Kardashian. We took a pic on Stadium seats that was kind of fun and then we were pretty much done.

When we got home we had a snack and headed to the pool. It was lunch time, but the girls are always hungry after they swim so I thought we should wait.

I haven't gone swimming since we have been down here, because the high is only 68 and the pool isn't heated.  But this day while Tulip was diving for dive sticks she got really tiered and started going under. So I had to jump in and get her. I think she would have been fine and able to swim back, but didn't want to risk it. Tulip is doing so well in the water normally she can do hand stands and she dive after dive sticks. The pool is only 3 1/2 deep, but we are very proud of her. Once I was in the water I thought I would work with Atley on swimming without her life jacket she did alright. She wasn't to comfortable with swimming without holding on to my hands, but I think by the end of summer she will be doing really well.

In the next couple of days i am going to take some video of how well they are doing in the pool.

Family Day Sunday...

We love Sunday's because Danny doesn't have to work!!!! We get up and just hang around the house all morning not really doing much. Then we went to this ale house in Pacific beach for lunch.  After lunch we went down to the beach the girls got to fly their kites again. I forgot how fun it was to fly kites. I remember when I was little I would try and fly kites and it was so hard to get them up in the air and it wouldn't work at all, but we can get their kites in the air every time. The girls can run with them or they can stand and fly them. We have so much, I think Danny and I have just is much  as the girls. After the beach we just headed home and hung out. It was a really fun Family Sunday.
