Beach Sunday...

Sunday May 2nd Kacey's 30th Birthday!!!
We headed out to Shelter Island. Danny had read about it some where at work and he wanted to go check it out.  We were there for a while the girls played at the playground then we walked around. We walked out on the dock and Atley was looking in the water saying that there was a seal in the water. We all said no Atley it is just waves. When we looked closer their was really a seal in the water. She is like an animal whisperer. It was so funny because it just stayed right there looking up at her. It was crazy.

After Shelter Island we drove to Ocean Beach. It was  around lunch time so we went out to lunch at Nick's on the Pier. It had a great view of the Ocean and the seafood chowder delicious .

We had never walked on the pier her before, it is huge!!!! It was a nice a little walk and we got to watch people fish, surfers surf, and saw some crazy birds. We say a pelican that just stood on the edge of the rail and people would come over and take pics with it. Then we say a Sea Gull with only one foot. Ately was really upset by this and she wanted us to call the dr. She also thought the Pelican ate it and he shouldn't eat feet!!! It was really cute.

At the begining of the pier they have this area with compacted sand that looks like rocks. They were really pretty. We walked down there and saw all the artwork that people would crave into them. The girls really wanted to engrave their names on it, but Daddy wouldn't let them. We did find a lot of little crabs and were trying to catch them, but they were really fast.

I couldn't believe how many hippies were here. It think it should be called hippie beach, they were everywhere just hanging out!!! Danny said that Atley fit right in:)

We had another great family day!!!!  I love Sundays!!!
